what exactly is coaching?

Coaching is a structured conversation that helps you reflect, get clear and move forward with more awareness. It’s not advice-giving or therapy. It's it’s an opportunity to explore what matters to you, understand what might be holding you back and how to act on it.

what can i expect in a coaching session?

Every session is a little different, but you can expect to be able to safely think out loud, speak honestly and explore new perspectives.

The sessions are yours and so you’re welcome to bring whatever’s on your mind. I’ll always come prepared with a clear structure, ask meaningful questions and support you to reflect deeply, without pressure or judgment.

We’ll look forward, sometimes look back (to understand patterns or beliefs), and always look inward, because that’s where lasting change begins.

do i need to prepare?

Just bring yourself. You don’t need to arrive with goals or a plan. Often, clarity emerges through the coaching process itself.

That said, coaching isn’t just what happens in the sessions, it’s also what unfolds between them. The more you reflect, notice patterns and try out small changes in daily life, the more meaningful the shifts tend to be.

We’ll talk about how best to support that between sessions, in a way that feels sustainable and genuinely useful for you.

how many sessions will i need?

There’s no one right way. Some people begin with a single session. Others choose a 3- or 6-session package to explore things more deeply over time.
Fortnightly sessions work well for most people, to have time between sessions but without compromising momentum, but we will find a rhythm that works for you.
We can talk all this through in your discovery call.

do you only work with clients in the UK?

Not at all. I work virtually and welcome clients from anywhere in the world, being mindful of any time differences for the both of us. However, I can only comfortably conduct sessions in English or Welsh.
